Pipiwai Trail to Waimoku Falls

If your white-knuckle ride along the Road to Hana has left any feeling in your hands, and you’re up for another couple hours of scenic delights, grab a walking stick and head out in search of Waimoku Falls on the Pipiwai Trail.

Maui’s Kealia Coastal Boardwalk

A sunset walk just seems to be the best way to unwind from a busy day and on the magical island of Maui, there’s an endless selection of scenic pathways to choose from. The Kealia Coastal Boardwalk stands out as an especially reflective place where you can oftentimes find yourself alone with just your thoughts and nature.

My Favorite Maui Hikes

Maui generally conjures up images of beautiful beaches with swaying palms, but there are a number of incredible hikes in this tropical paradise that you won’t want to miss. From quick little roadside jaunts that lead to towering and fragrant Eucalyptus trees  like the Waikamoi Nature Trail (just past mile marker 9 on the Road to Hana), or longer (3+ hour) hikes through bamboo forests with staggering ravines that culminate at the spectacular 400’ Waimoku Falls or delve deep into the crater of a dormant volcano – Maui has it all!

La Perouse Bay

So you want to get a little exercise and see some unusual Maui sights – and still have time to lie on the beach before lunch.  If you’re staying anywhere around Kihei, Wailea or Makena – a hike through La Perouse is just what you’re looking for.
